Becky Verbansky, M.S., L.M.F.T.

Welcome! I’m really glad you’re here.

If you’ve found your way to this page, there’s a good chance you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. You may be high‑functioning, responsible, and capable on the outside, while quietly overwhelmed, grieving, or exhausted on the inside.

I want you to know from the start: you don’t have to perform here. You don’t have to explain away your pain. You’re allowed to show up exactly as you are.
Why This Work Is Personal

My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by lived experience long before it was shaped by formal training.

I grew up in a divorced family, learning early about the complexity of relationships, attachment, and loss. Later, I experienced one of the most devastating forms of grief — the suicide of a close family member. The confusion, heartbreak, and unanswered questions that followed changed me forever.

Those experiences taught me how vital it is to have someone who can sit with pain without trying to fix it, rush it, or minimize it.

Healing didn’t come from being told to “move on.” It came from being truly seen, heard, and held with compassion.

That understanding lives at the heart of my work today.
My Clinical Background

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 24 years of experience practicing in both Arizona and California.

Over the years, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings — schools, non‑profits, hospitals, and higher education — and have served as a therapist, Clinical Director, Supervisor, and professor.

While I bring extensive training and clinical expertise to my work, I don’t believe healing happens through credentials alone.

It happens through presence, attunement, and safety.
A Therapist Who Understands from the Inside Out
Alongside my professional experience, I bring deep empathy shaped by my own life.

I’ve navigated trauma, disenfranchised grief, chronic illness, and the emotional complexity of raising a high‑needs child. I understand what it feels like to hold it together for everyone else while quietly unraveling inside.

Because I’ve lived these realities, my approach is grounded, compassionate, and deeply human.

With me, you have permission to:
-
Say the things you’ve kept hidden
-
Feel what you’ve had to suppress
-
Slow down your nervous system
-
Be fully seen without judgment
This is where real healing begins.
A Gentle Invitation
My goal is simple: to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can heal, grow, and reconnect with your resilience.
You deserve more than survival. You deserve relief, clarity, and a sense of internal steadiness.
If you’re ready to take the next step — whether through ongoing therapy or a more focused healing experience — I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
No, it’s not just you and you don’t have to do this alone.
